Major improvements

Major improvements of this version:

  • Analytics is now storing user data inside a dedicated database instead of files.
  • A new feature replacing deployment managers has been developed to propose an entirely new mechanism to follow projects and versions of deployments, with a completely new UI.
  • Web Services APIs have been added to manage those new projects programmatically, to be able to create new versions, build, and deploy deliveries easily.

Installation Procedure

You can find in the "Analytics Installation and Configuration Guide.pdf" shipped in the archive all information required to install this new version of Analytics.

Note that only analytics.war file is shipped with this archive.

Installation of this build will therefore require an application server which supports ".war" files, such as Apache tomcat.

We'll soon add also "analytics.ear" file to be able to install on application servers such as WildFly (JBoss), as for previous Analytics versions.

User Guide

You can find information about how to use this new version in the "Analytics User's Guide.pdf" file shipped in the archive.

POSTMAN REST API Samples:

We have created a sample collection for POSTMAN software (which is used to perform REST API invocations).

This collection contains sample for the new Analytics REST API which allows to perform operations on Delivery Projects.

  1. Import "Analytics REST API.postman_collection.json" in POSTMAN
  2. Configure then collection's variables after importing the file, to define their values with your own settings.

Refer to POSTMAN reference documentation for further information if required:

https://learning.getpostman.com/docs/postman/environments_and_globals/variables/#defining-collection-variables

All requests have been documented, do not hesitate to look at their description.

Note that the Delivery Project you specify in "Delivery Project Name" must exist in Analytics.

You must create it from Analytics administration before being able to perform REST operations on it.
