Hi,

I would like to set the parameters of the mailing list of the Mail Server Metadata directly in Analytics (I don't want to rebuild and republish the package).
But in Analytics I only have "Host" and "Address" (from) to possibly set. Where are all the other parameters ?

Thanks

Hi,

Each metada node has an "Externalize" property tab, in the Designer.
All the checked properties in this tab, are exported to the package so that they can be modified from Analytics.
Some properties are checked by default, some are not.
Is your metadata property checked ?

Hi,

Yes, the properties I would like to change is already checked in the designer so...
I'm supposed to be able to change them in Analytics, but I couldn't find these properties.
Maybe I am missing something, please have look to the attachements.

Thanks

OK I had some tests :
- I sucessfully externalize the "Text list" property.
- But it looks like there is a strange behavior with the "List" and "Account" properties. They are not externalized, even when I check them.
I will report this to the R&D team.

Can you work with the "Text List" property ?
Note : the property must have a default value in the Designer in order to be externalized (just like any other metadata if I remember well).

As you can see in the previous screenshot, in the Email Server Metadata I only have two visible parameters in Analytics :
- Host
- Adresses
Nothing else, even if Text List is checked in the mailing List parameter in the designer..

Is there a default value on the "Text list" metadata ?
Can you share a screenshot of where your metata is used ?
Is your process/action property correctly set with the "Text list" value, when you Prepare the process from the Designer (this is a pre-requisite to that the propery is actually externalized) ?

Ah sorry, I forgot to set a default value to the Text List!

It should be alright ;-)

Hi,

What kind of error do you get when you use semicolon?
I have just tested and it seems to work fine when I put address emails separated by semicolon in the "Text list" parameter in Analytics.

Kind regards,
Adrian
