Hello,
Is it possible to build packages outside of the designer, via the command line through the ant.sh script or similar mechanism?

Hi,

This is not yet possible. We plan to improve the build package features, I can't say yet if it will include command-line tools or not.

You maybe already know that, but just in case: you can build *deliveries* from the command line (see Help > Stambia > Configuration and setup Guide > Deployment of deliveries > Detail > Delivery generation).

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for the reply. It would be great if there were plans in the future to allow building packages outside of the designer. We make use of source control within the team and would like to leverage our existing deployment tools. This would allow us to validate locally/in development, push to the master branch and have our deployment tool build packages, deliveries and push them to the production runtime.

Hi Beeplogic,

We are just starting on with Stambia, and now building packages is possible through command line :)
It would be really interesting for us to know how did you bridge the gap between source control and deployment :

what is the scope of your integration pipeline : did you manage to complete the chain package>deliveries>runtime through your deployment tool ?
are you using analytics for any deployment step ?
how do you handle the dependency graph between your processes ? (do you pick a single package / all of them / different strategy)
Did you integrate any automatic tests in the pipeline, or relying solely on failing package/delivery command line was enough ?
Did you aim at continuous integration/delivery ?

Thanks for your answer !
