Footer for a file? was created by Francois BAILLY
Hi,

Is it possible to make a footer in generated file?

I have a mappings file to file which start with an input positional file to create an ouput hierarchical file. (I use a stage to select lines which i will use for generated my hierarchical file, that why I have 5 mappings which generate 5 hierarchical file with the same input positional file)

I want just a empty line for last line of my generated hirarchical file. Is it possible with stambia designer to define that ? i didn't find option which let me do this.
I can do a union and add a last empty line but i want to do it cleanly.

Thanks for your time and sorry for my english.

Regards, François Bailly.

Hello,
Maybe you can add an action "Write a File" which writes the empty line after the mapping is executed ?

There is no way to create a footer as same as we can create a header for a file ?

I tried to use a "write txt file" with append mode to add this empty line but it didn't work

Your file is a hierarchical file.
Maybe you can create a last record "FOOTER" in the metadata ?

Yes, I add a last record "footer" and it's work for me.
