Error "no sapjco3 in java.library.path" when creating an SAP metadata

    Symptom

When trying to connect Stambia DI Designer to SAP (for creating / reversing a metadata for example), the following error message is displayed:

java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError: Jco initialization failed with java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no sapjco3 in java.library.path

    Solution

This error is raised because the Designer cannot find the SAP Jco library.

    • Download the Jco libraries from the SAP website (select the appropriate 32-bit or 64-bit version for your system).
    • The jar files should be copied to the stambiaRuntime/lib/addons/sap directory.
    • On Windows machines, sapjco3.dll should be copied to a directory in your Java library path, for example c:\windows\system32.
